On Friday night, the Centennial Girls basketball team (9-1) hosted crosstown Battle Ground Academy (3-3). While it was a mostly defensive affair, the Cougars were able to pull out the victory 35-29 in order to continue their most successful start in recent history. Sophomore, Shantell Flye, got back on track with 9 points assisted by freshman, Ashland Hardin, with 9 of her own to begin her promising high school career. Leading the charge for the Wildcats was Allison Cowie, who was shut down defensively by Sam Salas to wind out the game.
